First BLB week observations

Nelson Cruz of Texas has been doing a lot of this:

this year as he leads the league with an insane .974 slugging percentage!

Other notes:

  • Edmonton’s Albert Pujols and Sudbury’s David Ortiz lead the league with 6 HR each
  • Pujols and teammate Kyle Seager each have 17 RBI to lead the league
  • Naptown’s Adam Wainwright leads the league with a minuscule 0.53 ERA
  • Reliever Ken Giles of Fargo leads the league with a 0.57 WHIP
  • Ottawa is pacing the league with a 12-3 record

Chime in in the comments with other first few week observations, game stories, etc!

  1. 100 numbers are up! Seems like it anyway.

I’ve given up a disgusting 20 homers in 12 games and 18 of them have been card homers. I almost think most of the homers I’ve hit (a measly 9) have also been card homers.

It all comes around and evens out by he end, I completely believe that – but my pitching numbers are effed!
